I'm still not planning on using too many of these links, but today I noticed a
benefit to using JS links for certain CJ merchants. Particularly those whose promotions change weekly.
If you're suffering from carpal tunnel the way I am, there was a rumour somewhere that the JS text links would not self-update. This is not true.
I checked how they were being displayed on my Circuit City section:

and all the promotions CC were running that expired on 7/01 automatically refreshed to reflect this week's promotions. All I had to do was go change my exp 7/01's to exp 7/08's and that was it.
EASIEST update I've ever had. Still waiting to see if it translates into better sales - but it saved this very sore wrist a lot of trouble.
