I use the term "her" for Google just because I'm a guy.

If you constantly are getting slapped around from Google (Adwords, Adsense or Organic search) and "you" wonder what you are doing wrong - you probably aren't doing anything wrong. You may however may be enabling the abuser (Google) by trying to adjust to their abusive behavior.

Get out of the relationship and divorce Google - you may actually feel better when you reach that decision. When enough webmasters file for divorce from Google - perhaps they may change their abusive behavior some day. Go out and court the competition but always remember that your true love is the "buying customer".

I predict that some day that webmasters will unite and sue Google for alimony because of their abusive behavior (price gouging, unfair discrimination to affiliate marketers, deceptive advertising by claiming not to be evil, etc., what else?)

I 100% agree with you. I see Google's stock price is down 40% since late last year. I hope it goes to $0. Die Google.

I love my sites that don't rely on Google. It's not impossible to get traffic without it.

In fact, no one should completely rely on a third party when building a business.

I spent all week screaming out my window... Didn't get one sale..

I spent 1 hour on Adwords, got 217 sales today alone.

Well I'm hoping it get's back to the $550 range and then I will sell out. We have had it since right after the IPO.

Well when Google isn't charging me $10 a click .... I get sales from them too. For example - Google wants $10 per click for the term "dodgeballs" for my simpleton "buying customer producing" website www.dodgeballs.com because apparently it isn't relevant to the keyword dodgeballs (just one of many examples). I spend quite a bit less with Yahoo and MSN per click and definitely get a better ROI compared to Google .

Google is stupid and they have increasingly been alienating website owners ..... that is more than obvious.

If anyone doesn't like my simple-ass site designs - I don't care because customers do (you know.... the actual important ones).

Sweet, indeed.

I have to admit I didn't work much today - we're at the beach with some friends. It is the start of St. Patrick's Day Weekend. (Thank you Mr. Jameson).

So I only had a couple dozen sales today. No AdWords - so I didn't have to spend anything to get them (other than fixed server expenses). I love this business.
