data feed, buy url?

Hello
I have a question about the URLs in the data feeds.
There are two URLs- Buy URL and Product URL- in my data feeds.
What's the difference between these two urls?
Is it okay if I only use the buy URL?

Thanks~!

If it's like most feeds - The buy url is the page for your customer to buy the product on the merchants site.

The product url is the product image url so you can show a picture of the product on your page. Look at the product url. Is it an image url?

Make sure you append your affiliate id to the end of each buyurl.

They both bring me to the same product page.

I thought my affiliate ID was already placed in the URLs in the data feed!
Do I have to modify the links?
Could you explain me how I can append my ID to the buy URLs in the data feeds?
Thank you~!!!

The BUYURL links in the feed do not come with your affiliate id included. You will have to append the "&pubid=210000000000XXXXX" to the end of the BUYURL.
Code:
ht tp://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/ddibuy?lid=41000000022260657&pid=22047

ht tp://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/ddibuy?lid=41000000022260657&pid=22047&pubid=210000000000XXXXX

**where XXXXX is your actual pubid as seen at the lower right corner of performics interface page

Hello,

The buy url is an optional field and is usually the same as the product url. You do not need to append your publisher ID to any url in the feed.

Thank you,

You do not need to alter links provided in data feeds. The link provided is a publisher-specific link (owned by you and only you) so there is no need to append your publisher ID.

The buy URL and product URL are typically the same for most advertisers. This was a legacy field because some advertisers wanted to include a link that actually added the product to the cart so you could have an "add to cart" button on the affiliate site.

My recommendation would be to just use the product URL, but if you're already set up using the buy URL, there is no reason to change anything.
