The Affiliate piece of the Make-A-Video is complete and ready for use. As an Affiliate, you can now create and generate your own video creatives, and link them to multiple different Merchants throughout the video through the use of cue points.

In your account, click on "Make Videos" which is under the "Tools" section. You'll see the following page which has a demo on it (demo also located: http://blog.shareasale.com/2008/08/06/make-a-video/)

Also - you can now download and use videos that Merchants have uploaded featuring their products.

Under the "Get Links" section of your account, there is a link for "Get Videos" ... click on it and it will take you here....

You can see a list of videos, as well as preview what they may look like.

For each Merchant that has video you will also see that showing on their usual Creatives page.

When you are grabbing the actual code for videos, please note the parameters that you are able to add in there, including the usual "Afftrack" variable so you can manage any sub-id information that you need. Videos can often be resized, etc... as well.

Innovation keep rolling out the front door at SAS, very nice! Site bound affiliates can add real growth and reach to a relevant merchant, adding tools to enable and facilitate that to it's max potential is what SAS has always been about. So I'm not surprised, but certainly am pleased to see this double whammy, merchants pushing out video into their SAS affiliate channel and SAS enabling affs to do more with their own video assets.

I've recently seen a shopping community where the ladies who run the joint make videos regularly to inform their members about specials and deals and such... I can't help but wonder if they'll be the first to wrap a video asset of theirs into your system.

You gonna have any contests for those first making sales through merchant video assets and affiliate produced assets?

Just bought a new teeny Handycam that does everything, now, if I had time to read the manual, edit the results, etc...
But I do have two videos posted and looking for more. They work great in WP!

Okay, so I made my first video to upload and went through the process (Checks Unlimited). I now see it under Checks Unlimited when I go into "Get Videos". Can ALL affiliates see it in there or just me?

Hmmm...took me a while to find this...surprised it wasn't a sticky.

At any rate, I would like to encourage Merchants to get involved in making a video for their business and put it in the SAS video vault for affiliates to use. It doesn't take much, you can even chat about your business and how you got started, or what products you focus on, etc, even some screenshots of your site(s) and you chatting in the background. Get into video. There are more and more video WP templates and .tv domains popping up every day.
