So I was starting a little project, and I wanted some software to promote.

Went to oneNetworkDirect, and while completing the sign-up process, guess what state wasn't available in the drop down box?

You guessed it: New York.

I'm going to drop them an e-mail, but is it possible that an entire network threw out NY affiliates, and we missed it?

Any New Yorkers here working with them?

I signed up with them years ago to get PCTools for my spyware infested customers. I keep seeing their products listed with all the toolbars and the stats to go with 'em.
If you can't get in you aren't missing a whole lot. Nothing to work with but banners. Miserable interface. High commissions, EPC like a black hole. They are very nice people, but that doesn't make it any better.

Definitely will check on this. They were very positive towards us in Boston at Summit, very puzzling.

I've sent them an email but this is buried on their site. "Affiliates residing in, residents of, or with a principal place of business in New York are ineligible to participate in the oneNetworkDirect Achievers Program."


I wonder when this was implemented. At Boston, they were very interested in getting featured on one of my sites, gave me several software samples to take home... And they most certainly knew I was a NY affiliate, from NY Affiliate Voice and clearly stated to me they accepted NY affiliates, I checked my notes on the back of their business card.

They work mostly with emailers, and that would be one of the biggest groups that create nexus according to the NYS tax law as it stands, right?

Mellie they dropped NY affiliates two days after the affiliate summit social in NY. I spent a while talking to them there and never had a chance to get links up.

I pointed them to this thread, it's up to them to respond. But the answer is no, they don't allow NY affiliates.

Good point on the "e-mail marketing" Lox, although I didn't know that they made their hay there.

Just so other affiliates are aware, OneNetworkDirect has so far chosen to ignore my email. I hope they treat affiliates with more respect. It is my opinion that they can at least acknowledge the NY situation on their website with an explanation and own up to not working with NY affiliates. I wonder if their merchants are aware that OneNetworkDirect is excluding NY affiliates? Good thing there are plenty of other networks and quality merchants to partner with.

Seven days later and OneNetworkDirect has still not replied to my simple request for verification of their policy on NY Affiliates.

They must be waiting for Bass Pro Shops response... >.>

They replied yesterday to my email saying yes, NY Affiliates cannot apply because they cannot participate in their programs. I asked them to put a notation on their website to help avoid confusion.

I also told them about California's pending legislation.

( Still haven't heard from Bass. )

There is now a notation on their homepage regarding NY Affiliates. I had some nice follow up email correspondance with them.
I appreciate them being receptive and adding the notation so that there is no confusion.
