We just received a letter claiming that we need to pay sales tax (we are a California based company). In the letter, they claim that if we solicit sales (including email marketing to residents of the state), we have nexus. This seems much broader than the affiliate laws, and clearly not constitutional. Anyone else dealing with us?

Jenny I think your post was unclear, did you mean to say "this"? So you are a California merchant that was sent a letter by the attorney general of Michigan?
