Recent??? It was 2008 for NY, 2009 for RI and NC.

Guess they were off coloring in the corner when the laws were passed.

Dear Publisher,

Due to the recent tax laws regarding nexus involving online affiliate publishers in the states of New York, Rhode Island and North Carolina, we will no longer be able to accept publishers from those states into our affiliate program.

Additionally, we also need to terminate our relationship with all current publishers based in these states. We sincerely apologize for the abrupt course of action and appreciate your understanding. Hopefully in the future, these laws will be reversed in order to keep the networks diversified and growing.

Kind Regards,
CrayolaStore.com

if we could all just be off coloring when these laws are passed.. in fact, hand crayons to the States passing such laws and have them color instead.. what a brighter world we would have

I like that, mandatory coloring time! Might just relax everyone so they can think clearly and make smart decisions.

Now I cannot shake the image of roomful of Senators and Representatives coloring rainbows and puppies.

It was only a few months ago I was speaking with Pepperjam about launching an affiliate program for a merchant I was working with but I almost fell out of my chair when the PJ affililate marketing expert said she never heard about the nexus laws. When she said she'd have to get back to me with an answer on the nexus laws I made the decision not to go with the PJ network.
