I did a bunch of Affiliate ABCs back to back and they are posted at Affiliate ABCs website and was lax on posting the summaries here. Actually I didn't want to flood new threads with posts to each of them, I actually posted them all the same day. So instead of doing a thread/post for each here is a summary of the past few:
Affiliate ABCs #17 email Marketing with Aweber Part 2 In this episode of Affiliate ABCs your host Deborah Carney (a.k.a. Loxly) discusses email marketing with Aweber with Justin Premick, Director of Education Marketing at Aweber. This episode gets into more advanced topics and more depth on the value of building your list, and how to use it effectively. Affiliate ABCs #18 Datafeeds – How Affiliates Can Use Them Host Deborah Carney (a.k.a. Loxly) and guest affiliate marketer Brian Darrow discuss how affiliates can use datafeeds and what merchants need to know about how affiliate use datafeeds, and how merchants can make their feeds better. Affiliate ABCs #19 History of Affiliate Marketing with Shawn Collins Shawn Collins shares his insights on the history of affiliate marketing and it’s evolution to the present with Affiliate ABCs host Deborah Carney. This is a little longer than our podcasts generally are, but it is fascinating information. So much so that it is the first in a series of podcasts with industry folks that have been around a while that will share their stories about the history of our industry. The show notes are also lengthy and quite amusing and enlightening ![]() I would love to do a podcast with several of you folks here from ABW either as a "roundtable" or individual discussions. email or PM me to set up a time, or comment in the thread if there is interest in doing a podcast with several members at once. This podcast was inspired by a blog post Shawn wrote several years ago on Clickz. Affiliate ABCs #20 – The Importance of Networking to Your Bottom Line Recently a group of people were invited to a special networking event hosted by the Shareasale network and during casual conversation some information was shared that helped an affiliate make sales for a merchant they hadn’t worked with because they were unaware the merchant had items on his site that fit hers. Well, that spurred a thought process that let to following a trail that spanned 4 years that made those sales. Billy Kay, Jen Goode, and Carolyn Tang join Affiliate ABCs host Deborah Carney (a.k.a. Loxly at several forums) to talk about how they all came to know each other and banded together to make something special happen. This isn’t a podcast about how to network, but what happens when you *do* network. Affiliate ABCs #21 Slapped on Twitter Leads to a Niche Affiliate ABCs hosts Deborah Carney and Vinny O’Hare explain how a stupid post on Twitter found a niche affiliate market by accident. We break down and find a niche after Vinny was slapped on Twitter by a few women after he made a remark about breast feeding. Affiliate ABCs #22 Using Videos to Drive Traffic and Sales In this episode of Affiliate ABCs your hosts Deborah Carney and Vinny O’Hare talk about using video to drive traffic to your website and also how to use it on your affiliate website to also drive sales. We would love to have your comments, suggestions, pearls of wisdom about these posted here and also if you have a topic you want covered or if you want to be *on* one, please please let me know. We are also starting Blogging ABCs and have 6-7 ready to post with several bloggers and topics.... AND Merchant ABCs we have 2 made and many more planned, which will be a true step by step from the ground up with a case study or two included. Contact me if you are a merchant that wants to participate or if you are an affiliate that wants to address a specific topic with merchants in general (I know we have some people here that would LOVE to talk directly to merchants Even indirectly) ![]() All of our podcasts are hosted Geekcast.fm where there are a number of other great podcasts about affiliate marketing. |

Some interesting tidbits, let's play a game
At the end of the podcast with Shawn there is a prize that I would assume someone claimed already, but the first person to post here gets a prize from me. Not the value of what Shawn gave away though ![]() Another question.... which podcast was interrupted by the kitten... and at what point of the podcast? If you follow me on Twitter you know which podcast, but you have to listen to get the "where". One $50 gift certificate (from winners choice of Loxly Gallery or Shop7.com/shop) to the person that posts the right answers first. |

BTW, this is the kind of thing I *need* to know so if people are having problems we can try and fix them. The whole point is that they be accessible and easy to access.

Well, duh, didn't even think about right clicking to save.
25.8MB for just one that I want to hear, well over 2 hours for me to download. Maybe, I'll start it before I go to bed. Would help (at least for me) if the file was zipped. I know many don't concern themselves over dial up users anymore, heck, even my own sites show only 10% on dial up, but it is still something I struggle with everyday.

Good idea and one I didn't consider. Let me give it a try, but I have a feeling that an mp3 zipped may not be much smaller....
I try to be aware that there are still a lot of people out there on dialup and try to make sites and downloads in a way that they can be accessed. Thank you for bringing all this up, I think it is important for webmasters in general to remember this! I have plenty of friends that are still on dialup due to access issues in their area of the country. Plus the folks on broadband or satelitte that still have to *gasp* pay for their bandwidth useage! |

suzie250 and anyone else that is on dialup and can't download the mp3s please send me your address via pm or email ( dc at teamloxly.com ) and I will mail you a cd of the podcasts. I zipped them and as I thought, they are not compressed hardly at all.

The whole point of the series is for people to hear them, learn and benefit. If that means we burn a few cds and mail them out, then that's what we do
