Hi,

I hope that someone from affiliatefuture will receive this. Well anyway, I have two product price comparison sites where one is for US products and the other is for UK products.

I am in the process of adding more products from more affiliate networks.

I have had no bad experiences. In fact adding merchant datafeeds to my scripts has been a very simple, if not quite easy process.

But now that I have reached affiliatefuture. I now realise that their datafeed and information about how to use their datafeed is one of the worst that I have seen.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is turning alot of the datafeed users away from affiliatefuture and instead they are using the merchants from other networks instead.

The is only a few simple things that you need to do.

These include some of the following:

1. In the product datafeed there is just a deeplink for the merchants site without any affiliate tracking.

If you could get this added then it will save alot of work for your affiliates.

2. If you don't want to add this like what you have done, then another approache would be to have some information on how to add it to the datafeeds yourself.

I have tried doing it myself.

I have managed to get my affiliate id, the merchants id, but I don't know how to get the ProgrammeID or the MediaID

Can you please tell me how as I notice that the ProgrammeID is different for every merchant.

OK, I could guess and hopefully do it right, but I am not here to waste my time and get alot of sales for your merchants that won't get tracked due to vaulty affiliate tracking urls due to no information on how to set them up for each merchant.

If you added them into your scripts, or you provided some in deapth information on how to set them up for each merchant and where to get the different ids from then this will help your affiliates in a large way.

For example, about 1 year ago, I was adding datafeeds from affiliate networks to my site. I came accrossed your network and I didn't bother with the datafeeds in it. I used the ones that are contained within the other affiliate networks instead due to the ease of getting the information and nowing that the information and tracking urls would be correct.

If you had information on your site how to set up each merchants tracking link or just how to set up tracking links so that it gives us an idea, then I would have most probably used some datafeeds from your affiliate network, which would have benefitted you. At the time, I didn't worry to much about it as I just got the same merchants that you offered from the other networks.

But now I can see that you offer some that the other networks don't offer, which means I would like to add them to my site/s.

So could you please tell me how to get the proper tracking url or how to set one up for each merchant.

I now everything apart from how to get the ProgrammeID and the MediaID.

Also, I would like to say that I am not really having ago, I am just giving you feedback on your network. If I found this problem with your network after getting datafeeds from alot of other networks, then I guess that others will also find these problems.

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Hi,

It would help if you emailed us directly with your concerns as the feeds are only available on the UK network and this is a US forum.

It's very simple to set-up a deeplink to a product simply take the link from the add code page for that merchant and add the url of the landing page after the &url=

Please let me know if you get stuck!

Cheers

Pete
