This morning when I logged on, right there on the Amazon Associates home page, they now have a Link Builder!

Search or browse for a product, and click for code.

Excellent new feature!

OK, Hound, you've got me a bit puzzled here.

For more than a year I'm sure, there's been the little amazon associates "bar" across the top of any page I go to on amazon.com. It has drop down and clickable menu choices ranging from "Link to this Page" on the far left to "Share on Twitter" near the middle of the bar, to "amazon associates" on the far right -- a tremendous feature.

Are you talking about something else? Because that nifty little bar has been around I'm sure for a year or more??

Gary

I was thinking the same thing Gary and was a little confused. Maybe they've added something else too, but when i log on, I'm not seeing anything different.

The new feature is a "Link Checker" to make sure your links are correctly tagging to your Associate ID.
I've seen different link builders over the years. Amazon has always been good with deep linking, with the asin code at the beginning when amazon was only a bookshop.

On the Associate Central home page - that has your stats on the right, links to Blog, Help, Programs, etc. on the left, and Alerts, What's New, etc. in the center, the Link Builder (that until now you had to go to Links and Banners > Product Links to find, and that has "Quickly Add Links - Browse for a Product/Search for a Product - keyword or ASIN/ISBN" and when you search/browse, the results show the products on the left, links to their pages in the middle, and links for the code on the right.

This was new yesterday.

Unlike the other features mentioned, this will also give you links to multiple product pages and code to multiple products at one time.

Something else has changed. Both in this new "Quickly Add Links" tool and in the toolbar on amazon.com, there is no longer a link to the image. The Text and Image is the iframe style link. Then there is the Text Only link which is html. There used to be a right click on the image and download with a html image link. I used that, wonder why it's gone?
