Hello Experts,

I am using PPC ads with Google Adwords to drive traffic to a ClickBank product. I have made sales doing this but I have no idea which keywords or which of my ads led to sales.

Adwords provides a snippet of javascript which you can put on the 'Thank You' page of your site after the sale is made. That way you know which clicks led to sales. However, since I am the affiliate and do not have access to modify the source on the website, I cannot use this method.

Does anyone know how I would measure conversions in this case?

Thanks!
Richard

I am no PPC expert and have not run campaigns for many years. There are tons of tools and information if you look for it.

Hello,

I figured out the answer. ClickBank has a handy feature for integrating with Adwords to allow you to track conversions:

Integrated Sales Reporting

Thanks,
Richard

Thanks for sharing that link. I've never used ClickBank for anything... Can someone explain why they are able to provide this service while other networks are not?

Hi Richard,

I did not know that google allows you to add adwords on sites that are affiliates. i am also using clickbank but never add adwords on sites that i am using affiliate products from clickbank.

would it be a problem if the site has a capture page?

I believe Richard is using Adwords to ADVERTISE his website, not monetize it - which would be Adsense...

You can read about the difference between AdWords and AdSense here: The Difference between Adwords and Adsense - ABestWeb Affiliate Marketing Forum

And when you see the "Old Post" warning sign, please don't ignore it. That thread is a few years old.
