Really liking what I see. I have a couple of goals set up and 2 websites. Got the cron working to process ever hour. This has a lot of promise for my purposes. Set a cookie not to track my PC which is nice.

Just installed Piwik Analytics WordPress Plugin and it looks promising. Don't see any quick way to add goals though. It works off of your original Piwik install too. Very easy.

I see Drupal has a module contributed for Piwik also.

OK Kevin I have a question. I use redirects for my aff links. I'm guessing since my links are set up as www.mysite.com/out.php?out=23433 they are not counted as clicks. I tried searching on piwik for a solution but couldn't find something. Is there a way to track these types of clicks?

It should work by:
Goal Is Triggered: select "when vistiors" and check "Visit a given URL
where the URL: select "contains" and in your case "/out.php"

I have a similar set up, but not enough data yet to say for sure.

I can't see any data in the Visitor Log for today's events even though they shows up in the Overview. All the other features under "Visitors" work fine.

Login for their forum is still broken. The last post in the non-German areas is Sept. 29th.

John,

thanks for the share. Never really checked out the goal tab as I've never had any goals.. Something I need to work on!

I guess this will track how many times external links are clicked which is a good start. But to get the merchant and the actual link, I will probably have to write some custom php code to track my clicks link a plugin like prett links does? Its on my to-do list of things to do.

Hmm I tried putting this in:

goal triggered - when visitors
check Visit a given URL (page or group of pages)
'contains' -> /out.php

I'm getting nothing.. which could just mean no clicks in my case Do I have to actually put quotes around the /out.php?

No quotes. Did you add the extra line for the goal in your Javascript at the bottom of your file. It has to have the ID number of your goal in it to.
