The House Budget Committee will be voting Wednesday (27/1/2010) after a hearing.

WE NEED YOU TO COME TO THE HEARING.
This is our first chance to defeat the bill.
3 affiliates have already volunteered to testify at this hearing. We need the room to be full of affiliates. We need 100s of affiliates, their employees, family and friends to come in force.

The Address:
Legislative Services Building, Room A
Sherman St and E. 14th Avenue, Across the street (south) from the Capital Building

The Time:
Wednesday 27th of January 2010 at 1:30 PM (come 15 minutes before if possible). You might need an ID to enter the building?

At the link below is complete info about the rally being organized for tomorrow. I'm not sure if this is the same group Jean is organizing, it's a new thread in a different Facebook group. However it's for the same cause so I'm sure everyone is working together.

However note: this announcement says to get there at 1PM, not 1:30.

Fight Affiliate Tax in Colorado

"It’s estimated that 4,200 jobs will be lost if this bill passes. (# of Colorado based Affiliates)

If we show enough support and the bill does not get approved tomorrow, it will die and most likely not reappear for years or ever.

With enough support, we can stop this tomorrow. Please come and show your support.

When and Where: We will be meeting at 1pm (Jan. 27) at the Legislative Service Building, E. 14th Avenue and Sherman St. - across the street (south) from the Capital Building.

Note: Parking may be tight because the Medical Marijuana hearings are taking place at the Capital at the same time."

IMPORTANT INFO.

Overstock.com announced they will Terminate Colorado Affiliates.
Use this info to your advantage as it helped to cause the Gov of CA to veto the bill.
Schwarzenegger even mentioned and appealed to Overstock directly in his reasoning prior to the veto.

The hearing was nearly 4 hours some good and bad came out of it.... It was surreal.

I will try to do a detailed post about it.
