Ok on my end but I'm on a PC. They're on 1189 now, something about elim sales tax exemption for direct mail.

Right clicking on the video it's says Silverlight which is Microsoft Silverlight, not sure if you guys get that/works on MAC?

Our bill is incorrectly lumped with the exemptions!

It's working on my Mac. I remember installing a silverlight plugin a long time ago (on FF), but not paying for anything.

Good point about RI not seeing any new tax revenue because of the bill they passed. What he was talking about

‘Amazon tax’ has not generated revenue

So it looks like it passed. edit posted same time as Jangro

So solid points in our favor would be that this isn't going to raise any new tax revenue as in RI but only result in loss of jobs and people moving out of state, lost tax revenue with the end result being a net loss, if I got that correct.

Now we have to see what happens....since their definition of affiliate technically does not include 99% of affiliates.

Is it time to start looking tonight for a quick condo in another state or wait to see if merchants will bother to read the Colorado definition of affiliate for nexus purposes?

"since their definition of affiliate technically does not include 99% of affiliates."

Is that true tho? Because on Twitter you had the PMA and some others saying stuff like:

"don't be suckered in by the amendment that seems to exclude affiliates, its a political ploy."

So there seems to be some confusion on that. I heard that one guy said it's different from RI and only includes physical something, not affiliates like us. But then I see tweets going off saying not to fall for that.

There is still a chance to fight it in Senate, but also make sure you are really preparing your sites. Don't get discouraged.

I am not at home, am on phone so this is short. This does include affiliates. Law seems much like NY, affiliates ok as long as they don't solicit in person. Merchants will need to clarify interpretation.

Trust the problem was raised buy that libertarian or republican guy. The issue here is nexus. Amazon would have to specifically reject Colorado affiliates that use a physical place of presence to make sales.

Is it worth the work/cost or risk to them?
Is it legally possible?
What if an affiliate give a business card with his URL on it? Would that simple act make Amazon liable for millions of un-collected sales taxes?

Would the agreement between Amazon and the affiliate protect Amazon from nexus in case of an Affiliate violation?

...etc...

We need to beat this in the senate...

Man I feel drained, some of those House dems are crazy, they obviously don't like enterpreneurs very much. One called Amazon evil on TV.

I can't believe I voted dem the last two elections. I sincerly feel sorry I did.

I've heard some guy say one time "always vote republican at the local level". I see the wisdom in that saying now.

I don't want to start a political discussion just share my experience.

They did that here, too. The first bill up took 75 minutes, the second took less than five. It was a little nerve wracking. I didn't know what to expect for the one I was there for.
