This was also reported on the news radio this morning - I picked up a hint at trying to woo a certain online retailer to Colorado.

If the other States are chasing them out - Colorado will take them now with open arms.

Course it has to get repealed first...

The law still has a court injunction on it. By the time it goes to court the next round of mid-term elections will be done and over with.

Alrighty, died before going anywhere. What effect is all of this having on affiliates? If we aren't actually "selling" - as in no shopping cart of our own - but referring people to other sites to buy? Obviously we have to claim our income from this, but as to how the sales tax issue effects our income, I'm not really getting that....feedback? As far as I can tell, the Internet is not Physically Located in any one area - pretty sure 'cyberspace' is sorta self-explanatory, sooooo even if the company has a business in a specific state/city/whatever, if the shopper did not enter the store, utilize the store's in person salesperson, have someone 'ring them up at the register' - in other words, made NO physical contact themselves with the company, how can pushing a sales tax based upon That State be legal??? C'mon, I could have a mailing address in Colorado, reside in Tahiti, be on vacation in Japan, and order something to be delivered to New York...so how to figure out who, when, where, and why to tax what can simply not be reasonably done. That is of course JMHO, but greed is greed. States need more $? Really?? Who doesn't? How are the schools doing in CO? Ya, hmmmm? One county in a class action (a High End district High School) for giving tax dollars to Specific Students to go to PRIVATE school??? How bout we take care of business in the right order, oh Great Governmental Bodies of Non-Wisdom!
