Thanks for that article.

I was hurt by this for a while because of Amazon's changes after the law passed. I had to create a brand new account and change all the affiliates links and move our company address to WY.

I would definitely support any change to this law.

Where your company is located has no bearing on the Colorado legislation and many of the other states as well. You have to physically move to avoid nexus laws in many of the states, but the Colorado law doesn't care where you are located, it affects *all* online merchants.

Your right, but Amazon does care where you are located. They don't allow CO affiliates anymore. So the business being in WY allowed me to keep using Amazon's affiliate network.

Check with your lawyer, because unless you moved your residence you are still a CO affiliate. The business location is only one component in establishing nexus.

Thanks loxly, I will check.

The business is based out of WY. One owner lives in WY and another owner (myself) lives in CO. All the payments are made to the business so my residence shouldn't matter. But we will check with our lawyer just to make sure.
