I'm trying to figure out how to track keywords with my SID function for CJ.

Here is what I have done so far...

Added ?sid={keyword} each of my affiliate links.

I then added to each keyword is own custom destination URL-

http://www.mysalessite.com?kw=GPkeyword+keyword
http://www.mysalessite.com?kw=GPkeyword+keyword+keyword

- I inserted the G for adwords
- I inserted the P for the keyword type (Phrase)

I have received leads/sales since updating the Dest URLs, only to find ?sid={keyword} in the reporting column for CJ.

Can someone help me with this. Any advice is much appreciated.

There's a solution for PPC out there if you Google it. Can't remember the name off the top of my head. Short of that, any chance you can write this info to your own database, then pull back sales data from CJ?

Are you looking to do this DTM or to your landing page first?

I've tried to Google options, can't find anything that will work. It's probably user error.

I can pull info through SID... I'm trying to pull the Keywords from each Destination URL.

I still can't figure this out... Can anyone explain in very easy, step by step instruction. I reached out to my web developer. He has no clue.

If can tell him what I need added, then I can get this working.

Thanks!

Not certain if this is what your are after; but here is what I do:

In my google ads and bing/yahoo ads I add the following at the end of the destination url:

Google
mysite.com/destinationpage?k=G{keyword}
Microsft Ads - Yahoo/Bing
mysite.com/destinationpage?k=M{keyword}

Then on mysite.com
I grab the url parameter k from url which contains the ad keyword and which ad source it came from:
i.e. Gorange+widget would tell me that the ad came from google and the keywords were orange widget

Then when the customer clicks thru to CJ I suff the value from the ulr parameter k into the ?sid
i.e. http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-xxxxxxx...Gorange+widget

Then when a sale is made it shows up as the SID in the transaction details.

Hope this helps.
