Something wrong with the tracking today?

I Haven't made a transaction already, it should have been atleast 15-20 transactions by now.

Anyone else?

Just a handful of impressions.

But, hey, we have learned to get used to this after everytime they work on the CJ site. It's normal.

Not nice, but normal.

I concur. This is the first time I have looked at "today's sales" in the morning and not seen anything listed. It is disheartening.

TRACKING IS NOT AFFECTED.

I suspect that they have not hooked up their tracking servers yet since the deposit came out.
My last non-batched transaction was 10/16/02 08:43:22 AM

For some reason I have a Junonia transaction that was batched, appeared on the 16th and has been accepted. Junonia usually put all transactions to extended - anyone know how this one happened?

We are getting tons of CJ sales tracked through our own tracking system but CJ is not reporting them. There is definately something wrong. I will watch and see if the transactions eventually show. If they don't . . . well let's see. I'll give it a couple of hours.

I'm wondering what's going on at CJ. I've not seen a single sale this morning. It's a first. Even on a bad day, I'm getting at least 50 transactions before 8:00 am.
Yesterday was also one of my worse day. And I still can't see any benefit for their upgrade.
May be they are transfering directly our sales to their friends at ebates.

Isn't it nice to see Todd here telling us that yes, transaction reporting is delayed but "tracking is not affected".

I think it is a real shame that most of us cannot and do not trust our trusted partner

It is so nice to hear this from a merchant. Quite often we have no idea if it is just our imagination or if there really is something wrong.

Thanks for sharing this!

Oh, good, Todd rolled the wheel on his chair off of the tracking cable at CJ.

Thanks, Todd!

ABWers should get a better commission level for monitoring CJ network.
I'm always astonished they have to learn from us something is not working.

Yesterday's transactions are starting to creep in. Hopefully nothing gets lost in the process

Hopefully,

it was a reporting problem and not a tracking issue

The sales are starting to come in, if you notice the reports, there is upto a 12 hour difference in the time the sale happened and the time it got reported.

Regards,
Satan

The time it takes to report a transaction is usually a few minutes however there are exceptions. An advertiser that batches will consume transactions on their own servers over the course of a few days then upload those transactions to our servers all at once. One thing to understand is that transactions have a lifecycle. The first thing that happens is our tracking servers record an event such as a click or a sale. In the next step transactions are consumed. When that finishes then you can log into the website and view your performance. Credit cards are a good example of this process. My credit card bill arrives at the end of every month. If the mailman gets stuck in traffic then that does not mean my credit card will not work. I hope this brief explaination helps. It is understandable to have questions about tracking however the real question should be about reporting - due to the upgrade reporting was delayed.

Dave summed up the recent changes in this thread:

http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&...9&m=1336013241

In addition to what Dave mentioned in his message there were quite a few changes done to products. Technical improvements were made to the performance of products as a whole and to the upload/download process of product catalogs. Searches for products are also much faster.
