In 2005 CJ had around 200 affiliates with at least $10,000 in commissions per month for the last three months and qualifying as CJ Performers.
I don't know if the exact figure is 42 in 2011 but it's a big drop.

Sorry, I thought we were supposed to guess. Your figures are more likely to be accurate Zeus.

If you have access to the CJ interface as a merchant you can count the CJ Performers (If they are your affiliates). I believe we have much less than in 2005, the year CJ started it. Less affiliates making more, at least above $10,000 in commission. Affiliates like RMN have changed the deal.
If 42 is a guess, you're not too far. I'll say around 100.

Maybe the 80/20 type rule can be applied here.

More CJ publishers on the scene.
Less CJ performers.
But these CJ performers account for the major $$ of the commission.

Long time lurker....I read ABW to learne from the pros like you.

I didn't quite understand the reference to RMN - who or what is that - and how have they changed the deal.

Excuse my ignorance if this is a common acronym....if so...I will go grab a 2nd cup of coffee before I do anything else silly.

RMN: RetailMeNot, it's a major Coupon Site, bought by WhaleShark media in Dec 2010 for something like $US90 million. They have a dominant position in Google and are getting a huge piece of affiliate traffic, so you have less room for others. RMN was launched in 2007.

The $10k/month isn't the only requirement.

100 sounds about right to me.

I was Performer, and I do not live in US or Canada. I was invited to join it.

In all seriousness, my count is up to 113 active. I'm sure there are many more.

There are probably over 100 just here on ABW. But revenue is only one measure of "super-affiliate-ness." For example, If I earned $10,000 in commissions but spent $9500 in advertising to get it, CJ might still consider me a "Performer" but it wouldn't be a great business.

Let's count the Performer badges at next year's CJU.

Hey how about that -- 500 posts! Only took 5 years... slowest to 500 ever? Here's to my fellow lurkers!

I think the more interesting question is how many *individual CJ Performers there are (that is, one-man/one-woman affiliates that have achieved CJP).

We have about 150 joined to our program, and I know there are a lot that we don't work with because they don't have relevance to our lead based offers.

There are also many more that cross the $10k threshold but are not CJPs for various reasons.

You are correct!
However, we can't find how much an affiliate is spending on advertising!

I should wait for two more months as they require affiliates to make $10k/month for three months!
