It almost seems as slow as the pre-sales support lol
How do you guys like this software? They have no administration demo which is horrible..I can't really base a decision on the front end demo alone... I also wouldn't mind seeing a live demo...if anyone wants to share their url via pm, would be greatly appreciated

Hi everyone,
I just came searching WPCoupon from Google and found this thread. I have been using WPCoupon for 4-5 months and thought of sharing my experience. My experience with support has been mainly good. They have been generally very responsive. I don't think they are a team as claimed by the owner but looks like just one or two guys. Lately, they have not kept up with Wordpress developments and their software is not compatible with Wordpress 3.0 and beyond. Overall, it is a good piece of software but somewhat buggy and some features don't work at all. Support has been slow for last few weeks as well. It seems like that the developer has lost bit of interest in this project. Again, I will give them 100% marks for the idea, design, layouts etc. but slow in responding to Wordpress upgrades. None of the premium themes have ever been updated and update & patches are all here and there. You can only get a 90% functional site with a lot of trial and error and with some good wordpress knowledge. It is not plug and play for sure. My advice for the developer to improve this software is following: 1) Add a support forum. This will greatly reduce the burden on him/her for providing all the support. 2) Improve downloads sections and make sure that all updates and patches are clearly marked as such. Default theme 2.5 is completely different to default them 2.51 (all graphics, layouts) and could have been named differently. 3) Keep all premium themes updated or don't sell them. Nobody wants to pay $130 to find out that theme they purchased is outdated or was never updated beyond day 1. 4) Do some thorough testing of all the features and provide good documentation. Again, providing a forum will help with these issues. I would recommend this software with the above caveats. Please send me a pm if you want to know more. I will post in 2 days to give you my feedback on WPCoupon. I am hoping to write a glowing review, but that will depend on the product that has been promised to me.

I'm interested in using the WPCoupon plugin for my WordPress powered business directory. I asked the support whether the plugin was compatible with DirectoryPress theme, but there has been no response (that was about a week ago). I googled WPCoupon and found this thread and now I'm not feeling very confident with using the plugin. Does anyone know any other coupon plugins that works and has good support that has the basic functionality of WPCoupon?

Is there anything comparable these days? I know the support for couponpress is very good, but it's appearance isn't very appealing... |
