Besides the software ebates uses for cash back and such, another suspicious activity is when you go to there homepage a popup(dynamic window) offering $5 free by joining, appears which you can't close at all unless you leave there site,

meaning if anyone from your site goes to ebates not only do you lose commissions as well as an extra $5 that could of been the affiliates commission from a product sold. So in General theres 2 unethical linking methods by ebates? I really wonder why any affiliate or internet business owner would even consider joining ebates unethical affiliate program

He means that if an affiliate promoted the merchant instead of ebates, they would be getting the full commission, which includes the $5 that ebates is giving away.
