Are you saying that they lying to me and are using toolbars / or software? I need ammunition to defend my decision to keep them out of the program
You can download their toolbar right here: http://ebates.ourtoolbar.com/

and here: http://ebatesdemo.ourtoolbar.com/

Looks like they lied to you doesn't it!

Oh, wow, sorry, Micker. I certainly didn't want to make you feel unwelcome. You are obviously here to learn and that's what we need more of in this industry.

I inferred (obviously incorrectly - sorry about that) that you didn't take the time to read those 14 pages. I was just suggesting that the time taken to read them might give one a better "feel" for an affiiate's dislike of poaching.

I was not even getting close to saying that "you" have compromised your ethics. You did expire a parasite. I was simply explaining my view of parasite-connected merchants and why I, personally, cannot work with them. If you (not you, personally, Micker - just a collective expression) lie down with dogs you will likely catch fleas.

Sooooo, with that in mind - Welcome to ABW.

Some days I wonder why I even bother...

Thank you very much.

If I ever get to the point where I can send/recieve PM's I'll PM you to offer you a free copy of any software my company makes.

Cheers,

Thanks Bill,

looking at it like Rexanne pointed out puts a different spin on it. I apologize if I over reacted. I'll try to grow a thicker skin.

Cheers,

That's cool, Micker. We really do want to see merchants, AMs and affiliates do what is good and right for the growth of the industry. You have had some talented and successful people take time to answer questions. That's like hiring some expensive consultants - at No Charge.

But, that's what we're all about here at ABW. We tend to help one another.

Take care,

- Bill

Don't know how old this is but there's this and this. To back up their own announcement of a new, improved toolbar there is this. So, they may be technically correct in saying "as of last year they have no software/toolbars" but it seems a little incorrect if they still have plans a for new one.

Thanks Greg,

I was able to download the software from BurgerBoy's link and their Terms and Conditions still mention software. That's enough evidence for me.

The thing is that their sales were so low that it seems unlikely that they were stealing anyone's clicks.

Cheers,
Mick

Fortunately many Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware apps started flagging BHOs like this a couple of years ago. Users have also become suspicious and less likely to install third party applications and browser helpers.

The fact that they are less successful at stealing commissions really doesn't change anything. The fact that they still have a BHO available speaks volumes.

yea, seems too that lately there have been some referring to what they have as different names. Kinda like well hmmm toolbar doesn't sound very nice so I'll refer to it as somethin else that will sound nicer.

Micker:
Agree with what others said and am only a teeny affiliate but thank you very much for what you did and are doin Am in your program so I appreciate it very much

They can also change the toolbar you downloaded to your computer any time they want to by just turning the stealing feature of it on or off in your computer.

You know - get a bunch of new merchants with the overwriting turned off for that merchant and then when you think they are ok and quit checking - they turn it on.

Hi All,
Just a note that MyJewelryBox.com no longer works with eBates. We are committed to a clean program. 2busy, if you could remove them from the merchant list here that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yea, hopefully others will fall in your footsteps and not work with the tool bar thiefs.

I don't think 2busy is able to edit her post anymore since the time limit has expired. You will need to ask a moderator or the head honcho to do this.

Just curious, Trisha, how long have you all been managing myjewelrybox and what prompted this change?

Ah ok... any mods able to remove?

We've been managing the program for about a month now. The prompting was just in optimizing and organizing everything in the program; we're doing what we can to make the program the best it can be for affiliates and this is a needed step.

Chuck Hamrick has been pretty good about updating the list as merchants become aware, maybe he'll take care of it again I looked at that program a long time ago and they had other problems too so maybe it will get cleaned up now. A good AM can make a lot of difference!
