Nothing changed on that front as far as I am aware.

It will not make any difference to me.

If I find something that was bad, and after a while still bad, I don't care if in the future it becomes good or not.

I don't believe in some of those that proclaim that, after all the bad things they have done, they have become a born again whatever.

Nothing has changed with Ebates' practices in terms of their tactics other then the quality of sping they are pitching to merchants and networks.

Speaking of ebates, did anyone see this: http://www.ebates.com/stores/Szul.com.htm

Thought I'd give some of you Szul users a heads up on this one.

Wow Skul is giving ebates 15% commission so they can offer a 7.5% kickback to members. I place up front page and interior Mall section showcases for Skul and get a lousy 8% if a eBates popup doesn't kite my referal cookie.

Ebates says they have no coupon offers for Skul but the coupon point of sale attack dogs eat the rest of the cookies. Sweet as this stupid merchant gets double-dipped and whacked by incentives making their program reserved for BHO browser or SERP spammers. page one of 386,000 Szul coupons http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...q=Szul+coupons

They likely paid a fee for inclusion in eBates as well.

Ludicrous.

I was approached by Paul from eBates at Affiliate Summit after making a remark in a loyalty session. He said they have changed, went through the parasite rehab classes and are clean. He asked if I would post here that they are clean if he could show me that they have changed their ways. I told him that I would if their CEO detailed it in their privacy policy and put his signature to it. I am waiting for an answer.

Btw, I just took over the Little Giant Ladder affiliate program on CJ and guess who I found in the program?? Bye bye eBates!!

Chuck, just for that post, I'm joining the ladder thing. Email me please - you have my addy. If you have CJ alternate, I'd love that as you know - email me please if there's another tracking mechanism available. If not, as long as you're driving the bus, I'll gag down the and use CJ (html) links.

Check your inbox, we have an in-house program if you join through the site or you can find us in CJ. We are doing innovative things with the program as we have designed and manage the entire e-commerce platform. Every bit of conversion improvement goes right to an affiliates bottomline. And an EPC of $127 isn't bad either. Thanks for the confidence Donuts, you guys trained me and just to think it all started with eBates in my ToolKing newsletter way back when.

Hey all. It's been nine months since the last post here, so maybe now's a good time to refresh this, expecially since eBates is speaking at Affiliate Summit Miami in a few days AND I'll be there. So it's an opportunity for me to put their feet to the fire.

So...anybody got some "dirt"...I mean some recent, concrete evidence of parasiteware by eBates?

come on man, that does no one any good. Let's not just repeat what's been said. Who's got the goods--the hard evidence? With it at Affiliate Summit, I can lay it out in front of them and the entire affiliate audience. But they're not gonna listen if I say, "Well Mack told me so."

You can tell them the Hound said so.

You know if I worked for eBates, I would answer my post exactly the way you did--avoiding my question so that no one ever gets the answer, and eventually people who want to know the truth just give up. Hound and Mack, YOU ARE ON THE WRONG TEAM. Thank you so very little.

Actually an ebates employee would post as you are posting now.

So would a troll.

They certainly wouldn't post the anti-ebates things that Mack and Hound did, obviously.
