Just read this article: Yahoo Jumping Big Into Affiliate Marketing?
For years I tried to get large publisher sites to consider targeted affiliate banners to see if they could make additional revenue rather than just selling display ads. The idea was to use affiliate banners for remnant inventory space. Tried it with hosting and B2B sites but that department wasn't interested. Now it looks like Yahoo is looking at this model. Ads a new spin to the tax nexus! Quote:

Interesting. Seems like a good opportunity for a lot of merchants out there...

Starting to see the light or the $$ signs
![]() Interesting note on Pinterest is that since they are not endorsing any products (rather just monetizing existing links that others post), no issues in regards to the FTC disclosure regulations. Good for them! |

Yes, interesting indeed. I have been looking into Pinterest for a new program / website we are going to launch in about 6 weeks. It looks very interesting. Plan to do a paid announcement here when we launch the aff program also, but any feedback from anyone using Pinterest would be welcome.
