You can't reside in one state, working in that state, and avoid the effects of the affiliate tax law of that state, by creating an out-of-state "location". If you do so, when you are found out, I guarantee all of the major affiliate networks will terminate you as well, as your actions would cause merchants who have no other in state affiliates to then be subject to the state's affiliate tax law. As they had no reason otherwise to collect the tax, they would be on the hook to pay the state a fortune in uncollected taxes, penalties and interest, and who do you think they will sue to get that back?
