Hi all, thought I'd post an overdue intro, as long as I'm joining in on some of the forum conversations :-)
I'm a professional writer with a background in
b2b marketing communications and
PR. Also a couple of print nonfiction books that haven't done too badly, considering what a mess that industry is.
About 18 months ago on impulse I put up a rinky dink little website with some adsense ads and affiliate links. To my surprise it's actually brought in some money even when I subsequently neglected it -- so I decided to take it seriously. I've formalized my thinking into biz plan form, hired a web designer to make the site prettier and more functional, and started looking for resources to help me improve the job I do on the affiliate side of things.
I don't really have any questions right now -- seems for the most part what I need is already here somewhere -- but I appreciate the enthusiasm & intelligence of the forum members & look forward to learning from you and contributing myself once -- assuming I can reach any of the goals I've set for myself, of course!
