Hi, All:
I've been lurking and learning and building web pages for the past two months. The search engines are beginning to crawl them, finally.
Yesterday I checked my stats -- expecting the usual "$0.00" -- and found I'd sold 6 books through Amazon! Yippee! My first sales as an affiliate!
There was a TV special on recently that triggered a lot of traffic to one of my pages, for just a day or two. So it's not a sustainable jump, but I'll take it!
It's surprising how much just that first sale boosts self-confidence. And the desire to keep making more pages.
Thanks to everyone who's been posting so much useful info while I've been lurking. It's been a tremendous help.

Welcome to the boards. I just got my first amazon sale this week as well. Everytime you make a sale it just gives you more energy to push harder and go for more. Best of luck.

Hi Mike and Welcome! WTG on the first sale. I think what makes the first one so exciting is that you finally realize that it is posible to really make money doing what we do. Don't get discouraged if it is just a few sales again next month. This affiliate thing takes time, but will pay off. I had just a few sale the first four months and then started to see a steady increase. Then, WHAM, Google found me and everything changed. Google just found another site last month and I'm on cloud nine. Stick with it and keep building pages.

Sold another 3 books today! To celebrate, I made a new web page today, put it up, and fed it to the SEs.
