let's remember one thing, linkshare does NOT own cause loyalty. Rakuten owns Cause loyalty, along with many other companies. Cause loyalty operates like other affiliates with relationship to LS, there is no sharing of data, etc.
Cause loyalty is based in boston, not NY, does not share offices or personnel. |

So your saying that the one glimmer of hope is that there "could be" a chinese wall? Yeah OK! Highly moral company that Rakutan / Linkshare is I'm really sure that's a fact
FACT: Rakutan and Linkshare know exactly and damned well what they did and are doing! Please, no one likes wool sunglasses.

How do you know there's no sharing of data? Do you think there's no sharing of money, either. Come on, be real. Same company, same thieves.

Well, I guess I am all out of luck in viewing any of those videos, because I can't see anything when I click on those links.
On this one "onecause1.html" I get to see the play box on the black screen, but when I click on the play button I don't get to see anything but the progress slider moving. On the other "overwriteX.html" links, I just get a white blank screen and then I would need to restart IE in order to be back to ABW. I was able to read the source code on one of those pages before my screen get frozen, and this is what I read there... Quote:
complaining, I guess I will be the only one not seeing any of those videos.

Good example with RetailMeNot.
Do you have a video where an affiliate pay for Google AdWords, the redirect to the Affiliate Site and then One Cause? |

Now you know why, and it's no secret I only work with and promote SAS and a very few select others ... I know even our SAS merchants are not imune to this crap but my chances at getting traction with honest sales and affiliates at SAS are much, much better.

I am sure they are going to come back and say that after much consideration they have decided to close the parasite company. Well, I was day dreaming. I think there should be an open petition, something like what Jangro did during the CJ LMI initiative, signed (electronically) by the affiliates to complain against this parasitic behavior by a big network which violates the very TOS that they push to their affiliates. For many of us, we can't just end our relationship with LinkShare. Its not an option. But we can make them be fair, at least try to. Will this be something that AffiliateVoice can take up. |

I don't understand. If LinkShare stopped paying you, wouldn't you end your relationship with them? All they're doing is "testing" just how far you'll let them go before you pull the plug. Several years ago, I had an "epiphany" while I was working as an inner-city teacher. Every single day, I said to myself (and often to others) that the situation was "unacceptable." At a certain point, I realized the hypocrisy of that word: I kept describing conditions and specific incidents as "unacceptable," and yet I continued to accept them! I realized that by doing so, I had actually become part of the problem, and I quit because I wasn't willing to continue to "accept" and support that flawed system. (Of course, I still pay taxes, so I'm really still accepting the same conditions....) What you are saying is that you find LinkShare's practices to be "undesirable, but acceptable." Without any credible action by affiliates or merchants, LinkShare has no reason whatsoever to change any of its practices. It continues to earn profits from both its unethical activity AND the activities of its affiliates (ethical or otherwise). Of course, those affiliates who DO find LinkShare's practices to be "unacceptable" are dismissed as unimportant -- after all, I don't send any business to LinkShare or its merchants, so my years of objections to their practices has no impact. Likewise, hollow objections by LinkShare affiliates have no impact. (In fairness, I suspect that even if 3 of LinkShare's top 5 legitimate affiliates stopped doing business with them, LinkShare would still refuse to change.)

But before shutting down the sites that are built around LS vendors, there may be another option, to fight. CJ did try to push the LMI to its affiliates and affiliates did stand up and CJ backed down. It can happen to LS to too, if affiliates show their muscle. And in this case even the vendors, affiliate managers can join the affiliates. LS is screwing all and a lot is at stake. The 211 million dollars that they made from the parasite is our combined money. |

"I don't understand."
That's been gone over to death over the years, not sure why it still comes up. Affiliates have different business models. If you're a couponer, you're going to be in all the big networks if you want to be competitive. And a merchant might be a part of OneCause but that doesn't mean your site visitors have them. If you were a grocery store and had some issues with Coca Cola or General Mills food, would you pull all those products from your shelves? Not if you want to stay in business. |

Just spoke to one merchant - they will drop them (see Confirm Here )
Have you contacted your merchants? and explain why this is so heinously wrong? Why not?
