Many of us work to keep them out of our programs. Nothing is going to change because they are owned by a network. Other networks choose to allow them. No one in the industry as an AM, OPM or affiliate has the finances to form a law suit.

Janice, this thread is for you because YOU can make a difference. How?
Don't work with these merchants:
onecause.com/merchants
These merchants are supporting a Bad Cause at the expense of their affiliates.
YOU have a choice. Sure, it hurts to don't promote these well know brands but you can be a successful affiliate without them.
95% of all affiliates will never make a cent for multiple reasons. One of the reasons being the choice of their merchants. Most affiliates want to have these merchants on their sites. We know it's a Lost Cause.

OneCause (and others) are still overwriting cookies. LinkShare is helping them and promotes unethical affiliate marketing. Don't give them a hand.

Zeus, you have the right attitude but One Cause is an affiliate owned by the network. I take it that Janice_Robertson is an affiliate manager. If she is an affiliate then the recommendation is to not use a site like that.

I'm just a modest affiliate.
LinkShare (Rakuten) owns One Cause but on top of that these crooks bought Free Cause (The company behind the tool bar) after this thread, just to add insult to injury.

Agree with what Zeus and Chuck mentioned. Either you got to have deep pockets to take these thieves to the court room or avoid them. Stay away from them and the merchants that are on OneCause/FreeCause lists.

I kicked Linkshare months ago and joined other networks, my sales have increased a LOT! There are many networks out there that are way better than these thieves. They may be small in size/popularity, they may have smaller merchants, but at the end of the day, my conversion is far far better than what it was at Linkthieves (Linkshare).

Janice, I appreciate the fact that you support ethical marketing and really am encouraged to see your enthusiasm to take these thieves down. However, fighting these thieves will take a lot of your time, money and brain/energy. Are you really up for that? If yes, I salute you and will support you in any possible way.

Regards,
Adarsh.
(ESR - eSalesRugs.com - I got an email from them a couple of days ago. I'm (I was actually) affiliated with them. They were on Shareasale.com network. They are leaving Shareasale.com network and joining Linkshare. I replied back to that email, told them about this thread and also gave some necessary information about Linkthieves.

The same day, you joined ABW and replied in this thread. Thought you may be from ESR (eSalesRugs.com).

***If anyone is promoting eSalesRugs.com, you know what to do***

Linkshare,

Your recent attempt of deleting this thread is yet another blatant exhibition of your company ethics and serves to confirm the truth of this thread then, and now ...

$211,544,991.00 in alleged "donations" A.O. 11/14/2008 (as per Is OneCause falsifying donation information? )

How much as of today? $211,544,991!

Three years and not an additional dime? HMMM I'd want to delete this thread and anything else on ABW relating to onecause as well! Good Call Adam and Mark - The only "dumb" part was you thought no one would notice.

Good day Haiko,

Thank you for not allowing them to delete this thread. I would have completely lost my faith in ABW if this thread were removed. This thread is educating thousands about what's happening in the Affiliate Marketing industry.

Kind Regards,
Adarsh.

Linkshare,

SHAME!
Anything for money, huh?

Ardash,

In actuality this thread was deleted by Linkshare (last week).

I noticed it and contacted iNET about today, within seconds it was restored by iNET.

If it was an "error", anyone with any common sense would have proactively contacted the admin, or a mod, that apparently didn't happen since it was off the board for almost a week (yep I have screenies). So IMO, Linkshare's actions were specific and continue to exhibit their corporate ethics.

Haiko,
Thank you for bringing this to iNET's notice.

I haven't been visiting ABW frequently because I've been spending too much time offline or I may have noticed

iNET,
Thank you for restoring the thread, appreciate it. The world needs to know the truth and ABW is the only place (IMO) where affiliate marketers share information openly.

Regards,
Adarsh.
