Friendly reminder, not limited incidents, no other BHO software on this machine so these aren't glitches, these are pre-planed methodical overwrites. How many years has onecause gotten away with this, or for that matter all the other parasites? Can we trust any network compliance or network quality team when we clearly see such HEINOUS and OBVIOUS activity ? This is just one parasite being allowed to rob merchants and affiliates and the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars!!!!

Last one for today.

Hopefully Linkshare or Rakuten will respond tomorrow and more merchants will act.

CauseLoyalty through its branded loyalty programs, Schoolpop and OneCause was already reaching over 17 million families in August 2007 just before the acquistion by Rakuten USA according to CauseLoyalty, LLC own press release.
For a parasite, reaching families mean memberships and downloads.

For whose who don't believe in the figures given by One cause just imagine the commissions made each year by 17 million captive families spending an average of $1000 online. Causeloyalty/Rakuten is an affiliate for most major brands and the videos made by Haiko show their software is not missing a single commission.

For all the affiliates spending money promoting the same merchants on their websites, remember, you will not make one cent if these 17 millions families visit your sites, directly or with ppc and buy something. All the expenses and NO commission for you. Is it fair?
Add 7 million downloads for eBates, around 8 million for uPromise, and all the others ShopAtHome, iGive... What's left for you, not much, you're just feeding the sharks. During that time the crooked networks are making an average of 30% on all the commissions stolen by these parasites. They don't care, if you spent your own money with Google Adwords to drive traffic to your sites and had your cookies overwritten, they still make their dirty share.
As it's not enough, these crooked networks are buying these parasites, our worse competitors to profit a second time from us. Is it fair?

Found and removed from Forzieri on CJ. They just applied to Fz on LinkShare, that didn't get far.

If you click on link to install the toolbar, you get sent to page [ onecause.com /toolbar /install?ref=left_banner ] and scroll to the bottom, the very small fine grey print reads:

"By installing the OneCause Toolbar, you give OneCause permission to direct your visits to OneCause online merchants through your OneCause account and, if you are not cookied as a OneCause member, to request that you login to OneCause before proceeding to the merchant's Web site. This is done to ensure that you receive contributions when shopping online"

A merchant that reads words such as 'direct your visits' or the word 'cookie' within a toolbar or download software that may potentially be installed by shoppers should clearly see that these types of toolbar/software affiliates may not be good for their program and their affiliates.

I am just trying understand what is happening. That Fiddler software sure shows everything. Someone mentioned "Haiko why so many videos". I think making the videos is the key, it shows proof to the merchants, networks, etc. and in case in future if there should be any lawsuits... Sometimes merchants have a hard time believing these things so the proof is in the videos...
Is this something for FTC to handle, Affiliate Voice?

I myself don't do much with LS anymore since they have returned mostly $0 for the past year and now we know why.

Linkshare Moderator, hope you had a good weekend, I am sure you will be rushing back to us with your findings....

More videos to come unfortunately.

The first one is very important ...

I go to Alexscoupons.com click on the link for baby universe, it doesn't auto redirect, I close out the window, and type in babyuniverse.com into the browser and immediately get redirected violating the cookie duration of BabyUniverse which has a 120 Day cookie. How in the world is this not theft? Contract violation?

http://www.abestweb.com/cam/babyuniv...yuniverse.html

*Note, I see suppression of the auto redirect on some aff sites (major affiliates, not the everday affiliate).

So, they are adding discrimination to the already loaded list of offences.

I am glad this forum exist.
onecasue just applied for our program though CJ.

A sincere thanks to all of you.

A tip to other merchants, do a search here for affiliates that apply to your program - interesting what you find.
