Good Afternoon!

A bit of a major announcement here:

In case you haven't been following my tweets, or facebook, MadHatter Consulting, Inc, is moving to Scottsdale, AZ!

This week is the last week in our Indiana Offices. The Semi is coming on Friday to load up the entire office, and drive it across the country. It will take about a week to get there, but do not worry. While we will not physically be in our offices next week, we will be working remotely, from various parts of the country, as we all make our way out to the Wild West.

This is an extremely positive move, and we are all super excited to be making it!

Whoa, Kristin! That does sound like an exciting move. Congratulations!

Good luck with everything going smoothly. One nice advantage about working in an online industry - you can work "anywhere."

Congrats, is this because the Colts lost the Super Bowl?

Welcome to the land of 300+ days of sunshine, once you leave the MidWest its hard to ever go back.

Thanks Beachy & Adam!! I am very excited, and a little scared, moving away from everything I have ever known.

@Angel, I will definitely take you up on that, although there doesn't seem to be a shortage on things to do there. Right now we are working on finding a dog park for the Danes to run around, and play.

@Chuck .... *Hangs head* You got me ... so disappointed about last night ... they are driving me out of the state!!! First quarter was awesome, second, was okay, and the second half was all down hill. It hurt just to watch ...

I can't wait for the warmth, sun, and no more friggin' snow & ice!!

Kristin,

I think I already said this somewhere else but it bears repeating:

It's a really good move to make while your kids are still young. This way, they will never have to leave "home" to find a state with better weather.

You're SO gonna love the sun! If possible, get a place with a pool! You won't want to live without one and the kids will love it.

Gotta love Internet marketing. You can pick up and move without missing a beat.

Can't believe you'd want to leave these 10 and 20 inch snow falls behind. Enjoy the trip out west.

@PDXreader Thank you!!

@Rexie Absolutely. We did get a house with a great pool, and have been on the hunt on it for what seems like forever!!

@Bob ... ummm ... yeah ... I am going to miss digging my car out of the snow in single digit weather the most!! LOL

I've spent some time in Scottsdale as well. When you get there you might want to get your car windows tinted to the legal limit. Makes a big difference when you leave your car in the sun when you go shopping when it's 115 out. If you have leather or vinyl seats, a towel allows you to sit without burning your legs in the summer.

Lots of great places to eat, but I've never been there with a dog so I don't know about the Dog Parks. Looks like there are a few: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/Parks/OffLeashAreas/
