I dont want to hire a designer because I can do it myself, but Id rather just buy a nice clean one and reuse it on every site I make.
I saw a template site but the templates were very graphics heavy and there would be a lot to change. I like simple clean designs.
Any suggestions on where to buy some website templates?

I have one... Pay AlexBet.com to make you a clean template. He is very good at it and they look very professional and nice! His pricing is very reasonable too! Lots of people use him on the board including myself and I bet you will not find a single person who is not happy with his work. Then change it all you want from there. This way you get what you want and don't have to hunt through thousands of templates to find one you are happy with.

those are very nice sites he has in his portfolio, but he doesnt list his prices.
I'd like to get a ballpark on the prices before I contact him/them.

Try boxedart.com, lots of templates for just $49.99/3 months or $99.99/Year
If you do join and make sure to turn off recurring payments in paypal.

Basictemplates dot com. $5.00 a template (includes css) plus $5.00 for the photoshop files. Lots of choices.

Make your design unique, have Alex give you a demo, before you get one of those ones that 10k others use.

http://www.openwebtemplates.com/ - The site's not complete, but the templates are.

A template can save you a lot of time. I'm sure you realize that you still have to change it enough to be unique for your traffic and value proposition (or your merchants). Did you try to contact any merchants. Some are willing to provide site templates. Check with Chris at AMWSO or Geno at RussionLegacy. They probably have some ideas.

When I didn't have time to create designs from scratch or needed a head start I've found the templates at Perfectory ( www.perfectory.com) to be a great value.
They probably have thousands of complete designs which include HTML, PSD and Flash files. There are a number of different topics/themes and they've started to offer OScommerce templates for those using OScommerce on PHP. I believe the last set I purchased was around $65.

Some hosts now also provide free site design tools with templates.
