Kellie, no worries about the confusion. I get quite a few people asking me about the Wyndham program or somebody would say, "Why was I rejected and I have you on our site?".
Have to explain to them about the Wyndham Hotel program which is on performics and Wyndham Vacation Resorts is on Linkshare. I know they are no longer in our program but I will shoot an email asking them to remove the URL so that it is not confusing to the consumers. thx |

The links for ACLens and LittleGiantLadder have been removed from their site. Thanks for getting that taken care of Bob and Chuck.
But....there's always a but...there are a handful of other parasite-free merchants who participate here listed on their site. AMs and OPMs, if you don't allow downloadables in your programs, you should check to see if they are in your program or if you are listed on their site. |

Thanks Kellie! I found Anh Vazquez CEO of Little Grad on Linkedin and was able to contact her through a common contact.
She never did respond to the C&D nor the emails to her site or the call I placed. Maybe she was directed here. I would have liked to discuss the issue to hear her side but the silence speaks volumes. |

I quoted the above snippet because I think it's also important for AMs, OPMs and the merchants they work for to bear in mind that overwriting affiliate cookies, stealing affiliate traffic and taking commissions rightfully earned by other affiliates is only half of the theft going on. Software like this also pops on free traffic, PPC traffic, traffic typing in the merchant's URL directly after a television advertising campaign, etc. BHOs steal from affiliates on affiliate traffic AND steal from merchants on merchant generated traffic and sales. Affiliate losses are clear, and the affiliate voice is clear, but I believe that the more educated merchants become on their losses, the less the networks will be able to allow and the less the parasites will get away with. Cheers! |

Eathan, great post and due to the lack of response the only resolution is to consider this affiliate as a full fledged parasite. Incidentally, the above mentioned CEO is the wife of an executive at WalMart. Guess that makes her above reproach!

Thanks, Chuck.
![]() Their incentive program sounds reasonable, but not with the software portion. Even if the software is optional, the click optional and affiliate URLs really are left alone, the software still attempts to "affiliate" traffic that arrives at the merchant through the merchant's own marketing efforts. Poaching existing traffic does nothing for the merchant. Before declining their app I asked if merchants could opt-out of inclusion in the toolbar. I received no response. |

This forum post has been sent to them, I left voice mails and sent emails. No response, they are not an honest affiliate and should be banned.
