I guess I learned a little too late on how much Shop At Home was actually costing us each month. As an affiliate manager, I am irate that these networks allow affiliates to use such software to "hijack" the customers we merchants are spending million dollar budgets on to acquire. One of the things I can't believe is that Linkshare allow affiliates like Shop At Home (and probably other affiliates) to use software that is required to be downloaded before the consumer can continue to shop.

I can guarantee every affiliate that uses this type of software is out of our program.

Okay, I'm a bit clueless here, what program are you with. I saw your only other post said something about Swanson Home Procucts, but just announcing it had left its network. Can you provide more info as to who you are with and your position? Hard sometimes to tell who is who if their signature is missing.

We talked about Shop At Home Select a long time ago at ABW. I agree LinkShare should do something. Believe me, they are fully aware of their shady activities.
By the way, Welcome.

LinkShare loves them. They make a ton of money off of them hijacking your natural and PPC traffic and turning it in to affiliiate traffic.

SHP, I suggest you post something to this effect in the Linkshare forum. As a Linkshare merchant, ask them publically why they allow this affiliate to steal from their merchants.

Have you decided on where you're going to open up your new program, if you are? I know you used to be at LS. When and if you do and want to be clean of adware like this, this is a good place to learn about it and people will help you out.

Hey everyone,

Since we've only had our affiliate program up for a few weeks i've just been lurking around trying to learn everything I can.

However, these posts about Shopathome.com concern me. Has anything changed with them? They are an affiliate for us, and we are considering dropping them if their hijacking practices are still in place.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Heidi

The last change was the merging of Shop at Home Select (SAHS) with Shop at Home, Shop at Home keeping the dirty activities of SAHS and LinkShare allowing them to stay.
You can ask also Ben Edelman about his latest findings. After a while, many of us are just trying to stay as far as we can from them.
