Over here is a thread where people have been adding their twitter IDs, which is great. But, keeping up with it is a bit of a manual process. So, to save everybody some time, I created a list on Twitter that contains every Twitter ID listed in that other thread up to and including mine posted a few moments ago. I will monitor that other thread (and this one) for anybody else who adds their twitter ID(s). When they do, I'll update the list on Twitter.

Oh, and thanks to our good friends in Cupertino and their little announcement, Twitter has basically paused the lists functionality while us gadget fanatics gush about the iPad for the next few hours...

So, now that I've praised your efforts may I request a change?

My @OceanCity Twitter account is very site-specific, so you can delete that one. I doubt very many ABW members are heading to "our" beach town this season. (Although we did have 5 visit our beach home last year.)

However, for ABW purposes I am @Beachy and @GirlyChecks (which needs to be added). Thanks (again).

Just got this message at twitter, while trying to 'find people':

"Twitter is stressing out a bit right now, so this feature is temporarily disabled."

lol, that does beat some of the other generic error messages that software used to display.

I actually like that Twitter just starts disabling fringe features when the load gets too heavy. I'd rather be able to do 75% of the functions rather than trying to keep everything up and having it all blow up instead. (and yes, I love their messaging. As a programmer, I leave those types of notes for people to find, too)

all we would have to do is create a hash tag (#ABW) and then import our list and we can automatically follow everyone on it!

PJ, I heard that about that dude, too... I added him anyway.

Jason, I'm all about automation. But, as far as I can tell, tweepml.org wouldn't really change the process at this point. Somebody still needs to add new people to the list. Plus, since Twitter is handling the lists as a native feature, I'm personally more inclined to stick with them as compared to going with a 3rd party who may do who knows what with our lists.

That being said, I'm totally down with whatever is best for the group. This seemed like a cool thing, so I threw it together. That doesn't mean I wouldn't follow the other if you set it up.

Give me a day or so to do and i'll automate the entire thing.. i used it in another place and worked like a charm!

I just have a couple of big projects etc on my plate at the moment, but will try to get to it as soon as I can.

We're (iNET) actually working on a product that will automate the process from the forum userprofile. @ABestWeb has a Members List (that's empty right now). Soon there'll be a Twitter Name field in your profile here. That name will auto-populate out to the ABestWeb/Members list.
