From affiliate goals for 2004

quote:
My ulimate goal is cancer no more in 2004 and I will have the opportunity to see my children grow up and be here next and many Christmases after for them, for they are truly my inspiration and not the mindless pursuit of this business on front of a screen.

I will fumble through as I don't know the best way to say this.
I just got home from the doctors office
While both would not come out and say the magical word - cure, they just advised that what they see on the scans is inconclusive, maybe scar tissue from surgeries is possible, but there has been no change in the size of what does show for the past 5 months.
The 10 months of chemo may have actually stopped the tumour in it's tracks, because as of a couple of hour ago, I was told no reason for anymore treatments, they removed the pic line that was in my arm for 13 months and we now hope to move on as if it is gone.
My inspiration has been my children and the many people who have expressed their thoughts and had us in their prayers both here at ABW and offline.
I can attest a few kind words can mean so very much in times of need.
There are far too many to thank personaaly for their well wishes so I will just say thanks to all them here at ABW.
Your thoughtfullness and help will most certainly be repaid by others when or if you may need the support.
We hope what started 3 1/2 years ago and reared its ugly head again last November may be over. Even if it isn't gone by far is as close as we could hope
it ever would be.

Cazzie - the real reasons for posting this aren't self centered, feel sorry for me but to thank the sincere people who have been so kind
I have not given up and don't plan to. I hope it's gone, but one never knows.
My message, never give up.
With 10,000 plus in here maybe someone will keep up the fight when all seems lost. Hope is what we make of it. Giving up is too easy, fighting for all your worth is all I have done against this terrible disease.
If just a single person here keeps the battle up knowing things can improve will make it worth revealing my own personal demons here.
I will think of your husband and hope all goes well there. We know all too well how this effects a houshold when dealing with this.
If he just needs to talk to someone who can relate to what a cancer patient goes through he may PM me at any time.

Thanks for the offer but hubby does not know how to turn on the computer LOL and I plan on keeping it that way I can just imagine what would happen to my computer if he ever did try it. But I am so very happy for you and your family. It is a very depressing disease. I know how hard it is to keep your spirits up and to keep fighting, but its real nice to see someone beat it! Heres hoping you stay clean from this and can call it a cure. Take your vitamins and eat a proper diet! Take care of yourself! I will be thinking of you.

Awesome news WW..You must be feeling very relieved.
My dad is currently going thru radiation and chemo. He has been staying at the Veterans Hospital for the last month and only has a few weeks to go for treatment, and we are hoping for the best.
Also last week my brother in law was diagnosed with brain cancer and given about a year to live.
So it is always good to hear "success" stories, it gives the rest of us hope.
May you have many blessed years of health!

WW I am so happy about your news and hope your children have the gift of you in their lives for many, many healthy years to come.
And I wish the best health for Mr. Speed and all the others that have shared about this disease in this thread and also others who may be affected and scared, but may be suffering in silence as well.
