I was looking for directions on G maps and I was blown away by the turn by turn image. Somebody told me that they saw it a week or 2 back.
Imagine the images / different angles / directions that it stores.

VERY cool... I hadn't noticed that..
Except when you're driving in Scotland, and Google Maps forgets to tell you about an upcoming turn... 
Happened to me last month...

That drag function is pretty cool for changing the recommended route too. More reason to get a G-Phone when they release...

I saw something on TV about this last week. Google is redoing all their maps. They have 1000's of cars driving all over the world with multiple cameras mounted on polesat all different angles so their maps with take on a more realistic "touring" look.
