Updates to the google toolbar include

1) A popup blocker (with info on filing ftc claims agains software that pops up on your commputer that you did not want (IE: Bearshare and others are given as an example),

2) A form filler

3) Voitng buttons for to allow you say of you like or dislike a site.

All intersting features but especially the vote buttons. My guess is this will eventually be a huge part of the algo.

What are your thoughts and should we start promoting the toolbar to our visitors?

FYI: All the Features are documented here:

Why give parasites unlimited cookie durations and credit for sales where they divert our users and overwrite our cookies. PP merchants directly support what many consider unfair trade practices and thievery!

Vote button has been there. Unless this is different from the smile or frown face?

OK, I never knew about the vote buttons before sorry for the mis-info on that part.

After it updated itself on y home pc, the popup bloacker was running, the auto fill was trying to get me to use it, and the page rank and page info buttons were gone. You would think it would take the users previous settings and use them, not on my machine.

Well, I can't believe people actually still see popups! I use Mozilla Firebird as my browser, and I daresay I haven't had a single popup since I downloaded it. It also has a built-in Google search. But alas, no voting feature!

I don't think the voting buttons are an automatic upgrade, mine only came on when I reinstalled the bar after my hard drive crash

BTW is this post 200,000?

Just ask all the drive by software app downloads, they'll tell you this as well. And all of the parasites also know this. They're doing what's best for you...really...they are...

I installed the beta version of the new toolbar weeks ago. So far the popup blocker is showing 457 blocked popups - talk about a time saver .

I know this is probably a stupid question and I feel so old even asking it but what is a blog? I've heard the term and the Google Toolbar has Blog This but what is it?

Thanks,
Granny Kip

Since I've installed the Google toolbar, I've NEVER had a popup come up - and it's blocked well over 2000 of them annoying things.

The only pop-ups I still see are those irritating "slide in" pop up type windows, which don't seem to launch their own window like a normal pop-up does.

Anyone who wants to take revenge on pop-ups, the Google toolbar is for you. Also a handy webmaster tool, too.
