Wahoo!!!
Last January I posted, I think it was in the Inner Circle, that I'd put in an offer on a building to house Black Cat Mining. It's now August 1st and today, over six months later, I finally signed papers and picked up the keys to our new (to us anyway) warehouse and future showroom! I am so excited/relieved, you have no idea...!
Renovation starts tomorrow, and operations move in as soon as we have a finished floor and Internet.
Our two year anniversary is in mid November, and there's still a long ways to go to hit my eventual goals for the company, but this feels like a pretty incredible milestone!

Congrats Eathan, you've come a long way in a very short time. May this be only the first of many warehouse / showrooms for you.

Congratulations Eathan! You've put in the time and hard work it takes to move ahead. May it get easier (busier but easier)!

Thanks so much!!! I'd offer to pour you all a glass in celebration, but the deal has drawn out so long I didn't think to get anything nice in in prep...

Grats Eathan.
Walking in Monday AM (or tomorrow, for that matter) will be a special moment. Enjoy it.

Ethan
My sentiments exactly. Mat this be only the first of many wharehouses and show rooms for you.
Thank you for telling me that in 2 years time it is possible. I am encouraged by your story and success, sir.
Perhaps you'd consider some black cat mining tee shirts from us at some point ?
Best of luck to you.
Steve

Congratulations Eathan!
Have fun renovating and building up a brick & mortar business. Love that it started on the Internet. :-)

That's a great milestone, indeed. Congratulations.
As an aside...I am hoping to actually get involved with your products by early next year. I have been doing a bit of local research - and it turns out there is an interest in "prospecting" here in Maryland.

You absolutely must chronicle the entire renovation from start to finish.

Very big congrats, Eathan! Upward and onward now! (On a related note, I just got notice in my SAS dashboard a few hours ago that I had a small sale -- $6.95 -- through one of your datafeed links. Glad to do my small part in paying the mortgage on that buidling! LOL!)

I'd recommend a roof as the next essential on the list.

Eathan,
So glad to hear all of your hard work is paying off!
Here's to high demand, lotsa profits and the need for more space, although for now, I'm sure you'd settle for completed renovations. DO post a pic when all is completed.

Wow! This thread has really taken on some legs when I wasn't looking.
First off, thank you to everyone who has posted! This has been a pretty big deal for me, and if you ever meet me at a conference or some such, you could probably get a very long and drawn out story as to why...
It's also just really nice to get support from people who understand what this industry is all about and how much work it's taken for us to get here.

It's certainly possible in two years and on a minimal budget, but I have to give much of the nod to experience. I'm not sure we could've done it if I hadn't been through so many other failed Internet start-ups. It's amazing how many times you can see the same mistakes being made.
As for t-shirts, yes. I need some, so please send me some details on pricing, etc. I'm still shopping, so would be happy to see what you had to offer.

You and me both! I used to read so many articles about brick-and-mortar companies launching ecom ventures, but I can't remember many going the other way. I know we're not the first, but it's still fun.

That would be awesome! Travel marketers are some of the best, so I'd be pleased as punch to get you involved in our program. Plus, we could probably share some notes on selling travel. I'm no expert, but I've done okay.

Yep, your referral ordered one 1849 Gold Pan in green. Not breaking any records, but every sale helps. I've been seeing your name a bit more often lately though, so glad to see things picking up for you!

Michael and Paul, the new roof is scheduled to start next Monday. I can work open to the sky until then if I have to.

Thanks much, and thank you for providing such an excellent venue for talking shop!
I'll do my best to get some pics together soon. Only had my camera phone today, so need to figure out to download the pics off it. My son Oliver helping me drive the forklift looks like it may be a good one. His cousin wasn't nearly as excited about the forklift...

Congrats!
Glad to see you've gotten your building!
It will probably seem weird not tripping over or squeezing by boxes of stock at home, LOL!
