Hi -
I was wondering if any of you know of a way to create a "sticky" post on your blog so that even when you update, the "sticky" post is always the first one you see instead of the new post being the highest?
Specifically, I am using Word Press.
Thanks,
Sheri

OK -
One more question... Is there a way to make posts without the date showing, and if you do that, does it make it harder for the serps to notice that there is new content?
Thanks,
Sheri

The SE's determine new content using other factors. I'm pretty sure they compare the current content/configuration against past versions that they have stored in the databases (speaking very simplisticly here).

Thanks $$ I appreciate it.
Anyone else know how to do the "sticky" post?

Am I the only person trying to monetize a blog?
Any help would be appreciated re: the Sticky post issue.
Thanks,
Sheri

Try this ( http://redalt.com/wiki/Adhesive) wordpress plugin for sticky posts. Never used it before, but it looks like what you're looking for. That's the beauty of WP, sooo many free templates and plugins..

Np..wordpress really kicks arse. Used to be a Typepad junky, but WP blows 'em all away.

To have no date showing for your posts, just edit out the date line on your main index template and your post template (and archive template, too, I guess). Just make sure you only edit out that line of code - it will look something like this: "< ? php the_date" etc etc and end with ">" - where it's placed will depend on your theme.

Sheri,
You're NOT the only one trying to monetize a blog. I got into WordPress because we were creating a plugin for PG. But now I really love it. I've even converted my own personal (affiliate) websites into WordPress blogs. It's a great CMS.
