The person has made close to $5000 however! Not bad for a poor copy of an original idea. I have a feeling we will see many more of these.

Very poor imitation. The layout doesn't even work on my browser. The top navigation is off center and overlaps part of the grid. Terrible..

There are numerous sites like that now & even a directory that sorts them by how much the pixels cost. I've seen pixels on a booty, pixel ads of nothing but boobs, pixels on a dad's face, a city of pixel blocks, etc.... This thing has been done to death, though I have seen a copycat site w/ almost $30k so far... There are also freebie pixel sites where you don't have to pay - the owner just has to approve of your site...

Just have a little script rotating the ad to show the correct one each minute.

Instead of minutes, you can buy hours, which makes sense because who would want their ad running for only a minute? Plus the ads run for seven days, not just one.

I assumed nobody would by a 'minute' on it's own... they'd buy blocks of minutes.
Bah, I'm still gonna go do it. If someone can sell pixels, I sure damn can sell time.
The only problem I have with it is that I can't seem to allow myself to put nothing but an Ad on a page. If there's no content, it just doesn't feel right.
