All,
Barring any ad network outages, ABW will be down from for upgrading TOMORROW Saturday August 10th from 5pm EST pm - 10pm EST pm (our slowest period). Yes, it *Does* take five hours (50+ forums and styles sheets) and about 200MB of info, maybe I'll open it before I do all the stylesheets ... so don't get freaked if it looks weird.
After the upgrade, you will be redirected to our new server and new version of the UBB software. After the upgrade, the www.abestweb.com address will in two or three days be pointing to the new server but until then we will need to use the redirect.
Please take a moment to read the New Users Guide for this program. I know of, at least, two major issues / concerns ....
1) Your User Name is now your Login Name and NOT your publicly displayed name (once you login, change it)
2) No avatars will be transferred over (we'll deal with this when the board is up)

I am just sitting here wondering what hell will break loose tomorrow. It seems that everytime you go to upgrade the world turns upside down and we spend our day reading and writing a million page thread LOL.

LOL well at least it won't happen until after BeFree's scheduled maintenance. I just hope CJ doesn't decide to go down tomorrow night.

I recommend 1:00PM 12/22/02 as a propitious time. Well, Yule IS the shortest day of the year, so maybe it won't be missed as much, certainly not by me, anyhow.
