On March 4, 2009 - HF 401 ( MN affiliate advertiser tax bill ) was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.
The House Taxes Committee is scheduled to release the Omnibus tax bill tomorrow, MONDAY, April 20, 2009 in their meeting at 9:00 AM in Room: 10 State Office Building. We will have to see if HF 401 was incorporated into the bill. One more thing to keep an eye on. I hope to find time tomorrow, to check if the affiliate advertiser sales tax bill is in the Omnibus tax bill. Kent |

Text for the Omnibus Tax bill is out... A search doesn't find the sales tax nexus definition in the bill. Hopefully it won't be offered as an amendment.
I'll keep watching for developments. |

Oops! I didn't see all of the text earlier...
HF 401 was included in the Omnibus Tax bill in Article 10, section 27: http://www.house.leg.state.mn.us/hrd/bs/86/HF2323.html This... Defines solicitor for sales tax nexus purposes to include persons that direct sales to internet sites through electronic links. This was just mentioned in the overview being presented in the House Taxes Committee. I'll keep watching... Kent |
