Welcome to ABestWeb. Nice looking forum design. Congratz to Mountain Reservations and AvantLink.

I just applied - even though I'm a bit confused by your commission structure. It "appears" that I would earn more on a sale of $950 ($47.50 commission) than on a sale of $2000 ($40 commission). Am I interpreting that correctly (haven't had my second cup of coffee yet)?

Hello ABW!

Thanks for the program announcement Michael, we're really excited to join the ABW community.

As you mentioned, Mountain Reservations is the industry leader in mountain lodging and vacation rentals with more than 30 destinations like Park City, Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen, Tahoe and more.

We are exclusive to AvantLink and have some really killer tools like a booking widget, deal of the day, dynamic coupon feed, datafeed and more.

Gary & Bill - thank you the positive feedback on the design of our forum, it's a product of my amateur design skills

Bill - you did read the commission structure correct, I know it may seem strange and I hope it doesn't scare you off. Essentially, the original plan was to offer 2.5% across the board, but after some thought we decided lower value bookings needed a higher commission. Our average booking is $2000, so it's very rare you'd have a transaction under $1000, but in those cases we want to make sure our partners are taken care of. I'm always open to suggestions though, we want this program to be the best of the best.

Again, we're stoked about the new forum and look forward to working with all of you. To apply, visit our Mountain Reservations Affiliate Program detail page.

Cheers,

Congrats on the ABW launch Brian, glad to have you here!

If you have any questions about using your new subforum - creating stickies, managing threads, let me know. We also have a mentorship program available for subforum owners, so if you may be interested in more details regarding how best to leverage your subforum, I can get you hooked up with that also.

I'm impressed with what I've seen so far, very professional operation!

Brian Boyd is a rock star and have known him for years. Great seeing another quality merchant launched on AvantLink. I had a friend come out this ski season looking for a place to rent in Park City. Asked friends in the area for referrals and it was a lot of work digging through the various listings. Will recommend MountainReservations.com next time!

I've been working on the Mountain Reservations program since January 2011, and have been an AM since 2005.

How about a structure where you offer a 2.5% commission plus a $10 (or whatever works for you) per booking bonus? I think that might be better received by affiliates, while paying out roughly the same as your current plan.

Michael,

Thanks for the feedback and ideas for structuring our commission scale. I like the idea of a $10 bonus as long as it's fully automated. We use batch tracking, I supposed we could add logic to our commission batch that adds $10 per booking.

I'll chat with management about the idea and give you some feedback.

Thanks,

Brian Boyd
