Just one thing , for EPC, isn't it earning per click?????? not per hundred click? correct me if im wrong
That is the literal translation Earnings Per Click and there are still some places that have those stats that list it per click, example, Net Shops.

But it seems most places when you have EPC, it's per 100 clicks. I don't if it was CJ that started all that, somebody said that a long time ago or how all that started.

SPA - Small Potatoes Affiliate

A phrase I used in a post here forum.abestweb.com/showpost.php?p=856248&postcount=16 has spawned the new acronym SPA, so I figured we may as well make it official.

I have seen a number of references to VPS, shared servers, dedicated servers, and cloud computing. From the context, I can guess that VPS is not dedicated in the direct control and ownership sense but provides you a static dedicated IP address.

All that being said, what does the acronym stand for.

Hi

Can anyone explain what "outsourced program management (OPM)" is? Much appreciated.

(Just as an aside ... "acronym" refers to abbreviations that are pronounced as words; examples are NASDAQ, AIM, DARPA, NAFTA, AJAX, NASA.)

I actually had the same question. Thought about titling the thread "Dumb newbie question #1"

I understand what an AM is...I think. Would that be me, even though I plan to hire an AM agency (would that be the OPM?)

Andy Rodrigues is credited with the acronym "outsourced program management (OPM)". This started with Affiliate Managers who made a lot of money for their company. After the fact they asked for a raise or rev share but were denied. So they struck out on their own and started managing programs for other companies. It was more of an inner circle term but became mainstream as more of us started cropping up. My self personally only focus on program management and don't manage SEO, PPC, etc. campaigns (although I have referrals that do).

Another (tongue in cheek) definition is "other peoples money' i.e. we manage the programs for a fee or rev share but the merchant pays the network/commissions. ABW has a number of OPMs with their own forums: Forum: Outsourced Program Managers

In the last few years online agencies have developed their own OPM staff in addition to offering the other forms of online marketing. I came through an agency after being a sole AM for several companies.
Thanks From:

How about API for the list of def's for the newbie faq's? It took me about 6 years to understand it, 5 to know what it meant.
