Tim Boyum at News 14 asked Gov. Perdue about the N.C. affiliate tax for his program "Political Connections." Today he tweeted this answer @BoyumNews14.

I don't know if there is more to this or not. I'm trying to find out if this will be posted online. The web site is: http://news14.com

I have searched News 14 and the News & observer and can't find any mention of sales tax relating to online sales. It is invisible.

Most counties are now charging 7 3/4% sales tax. This increase costs the average family about $230.00 per year

I think the program airs Friday evening and Sunday morning and that it will be posted on News 14's web site after the show airs Friday.

Sales tax was just raised 1% + the new affiliate tax reminds me more of a north-eastern state than NC...
