![]() Updates on all EXCEPT the contributions continues. BTW, I left a message for Steven Avalone yesterday since my contact at Causeloyalty is no longer there. Additionally I left a message at Linkshare.

I saw today where the makers (Showbiz Promotions) of the Michael Vick chew toy are being sued and not because of the likeness the toy had to Vick, but because they said that proceeds of the sale of the toys would go to animal shelters. They even went as far as developing a doll named for Caylee Anthony, with proceeds going to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. To date (according to the Florida's Attorney General's office) $10 has been donated.
Maybe the same will happen with this group...

Interesting leeann
Hope the Florida's Attorney General goes after them for taking advantage of people's desire to donate but them not doin it. Hope it does for this group, too but wouldn't hold my breath for it to happen. |

This is weird stuff. Do they say what percentage of contributions are actually being donated? I'm pretty sure charities have to be pretty transparent about these things. Also, who vets these schools to make sure the money is being well spent? This is a very bad charity to donate to, it seems.

OneCause and the like are not charities. They are for profit businesses. They get affiliate commissions from their members purchases and share that with charities. I think that it is typically 50% of the commission.
