hi all,

I have two questions so i though i might as well post them both in the same topic.

First one is, how do i set up a popup, probably cookies based i think (to sign up for a newsletter) so that it will only popup once in a user session (say it resets after 30-45 minutes or so). I dont know if it works that way, but something to that effect would be great.

Second problem. I am trying to get a script (probably using cookies also) that will send a user to one of two alternating pages, depending on which one they last visited. A new visitor would have to go to one of the designated pages to start off the cycle (eg. page A), then next time they visited the site they would be redirected to page B, then next visit page A, and so on.

I would appreciate any help with this, or even a pointer in the right direction.

Thanks,

Question 1:

Go to my web site www.laughland.biz and look in the scripts section, for my Popup Window control script. This script lets you open a popup window, then sets a cookie to block it until your visitor restarts their browser.

Question 2:

Also have a look at my login script. This will show you how to use cookies to redirect people to specific pages.

if you need help altering these to your spercific requirements, easy to do, let me know.

BTW, I like your site, some very useful info on there. Ive got the popup working now. Yipee.

As for the second, Ive modified a script now jsut to spruce up the graphics a bit.

Anyway,
Thanks again,
