Terms Notification Email Recommendation

This might be a picky recommendation but it would be nice when Linkshare emails change of terms notifications that they include a summary of the changes.

Yes, I know that I can log into LS and spend an hour trying to figure out the changes.

CJ usually does include the changes and it's much easier in CJ for an affiliate to view merchant terms.
CJ merchants are also much better at communicating changes.

SAS - Also does a much better job communicating changes and merchant terms within the SAS interface are also much easier to recognize.

This is only my two cents but I needed to voice my opinion

I couldn't agree more. Linkshare merchant TOS statements are blinding, headache-producing endless streams of words, built in my view, to be so horribly constructed as to promote blind acceptance rather than time consuming and painful examination. To find a change is virtually impossible. A single hour is grossly insufficient; several weeks appear to be necessary.

But seriously, I do believe that the way they are constructed and the format in which they are provided are intentional efforts to keep affiliates from reading and questioning the contents.

For anyone who has not looked at one of these, here is the Walmart TOS statement, in the regular LS format.

Try and find a change in THAT!

While my initial reaction was to laugh uncontrollably those terms are unprofessional and ridiculous.

+1 Very hard to understand - A summary in the email would be great

+1 for this thread.

Very hard to find which changes have been made. If they could summarize the changes, in an email, that would be much better for the LS Publishers.

Wait;
let me have my lawyer look thru this before i put up a link and i will pay him his $250/hour to try an make sense of it and inform me of any changes!!

I seriously wonder what % of affiliates read the T&C when they sign up.
would venture to guess less than 20%

Hi,
I do read through most of it but I also do searches for certain keywords like coupon if I'm applying with one of my coupon sites. There are certain things I know to search for right off the bat.

The problem as mentioned in this thread is that it can take 90 days just to read through an LS TOS.
