Thought I would add to the discussion today - traffic on my main site has been largely unchanged, however I have noticed an unusually high amount of visitors coming from Google search results on page 2 & 3.. even a few further down the list (pages 5 to 7).

This is unusual for my site.. and leads me to believe the top results are unsatisfactory.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same, but it may bode well for quality sites that have been hit recently.

That is a really interesting observation. It would account for some strange directions my traffic and sales have taken since the 13th. Yesterday I saw a one page wordpress page that I built years and years ago make it to #1 spot over and above my carefully constructed content-rich main page. I can't see Google letting this go like this for long....

I also have to add that I have seem my long tail postionings in the SERPs moving up and down dramatically in the past few days. Signs of tinkering at G? I can only hope.

Sorry - that "one page wordpress page" in my previous post was actually a Tripod page...
